Sign in or register
Use the Access area to authenticate with local credentials or with the identity route available in your environment. The screenshots show local sign-in, ORCID, and academic routes as examples. The exact provider list may vary between deployments, but the user-facing logic is stable: choose the route that matches your existing identity, authenticate, and then return to HORTUS with the permissions attached to that account.
Available options
- Local account (email + password)
- Academic / federated identity (if available)
- ORCID login (if enabled)
Actions and outcomes
| Action | Where | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Sign in | Access page | Personal tools and workspace become available |
| Register | Registration page | Account created, but roles may be limited |
| Academic login | Federated access | Institutional identity reused |
| ORCID login | ORCID route | Identity linked and reusable for profile |
After sign-in, the system adapts based on your role.
