About Criterion and License

Software Information

Criterion is a specialized desktop application developed within the ITSERR project (WP3) for creating and managing digital critical editions. The application follows open-source principles and European project requirements.

License

Criterion is released under the GPLv3 (GNU General Public License v3) license, in compliance with European project requirements and PNRR funding acknowledgments.

During installation, users must approve the license agreement before proceeding. A dedicated window displays a summary of key licensing information, and users must scroll through the terms and explicitly accept the agreement to continue.

Without accepting the license terms, the installation cannot proceed.
